    Come and make a difference by removing the invasive species Caesar weed. Bring your favorite pair of gloves, and some water and plan to spend a couple of hours or as long as you can last – removing the Caesar weed. The work that has been done already is changing the landscape at the Reserve and we just need a couple of more hands to keep pushing forwards.

  • Good Ol' Days Festival

    Polk County Parks & Recreation’s annual Good Ol’ Days Festival is free family event. This event invites all members of the family to celebrate the local history of Florida. The Good Ol’ Days Festival will feature vendors, historical interpretation, demonstrators, re-enactors of the early 1900’s, live entertainment and much more.

    Polk County Parks & Recreation presents the annual Easter Egg Hunts. Each hunt begins at 9:00 a.m.,so don't be late!  


    For children ages 2-9 and admission to this event is free. Each hunt will be divided  by age groups. Bring a basket or bag to collect eggs in and every egg contains a prize (candy or toy).
