Fleet Management Division
Quick Notes
The Fleet Management Division provides repair and maintenance services for vehicles and equipment owned and operated by Polk County and vehicles owned by various Constitutional Officers. Other functions include, the replacement of vehicles and equipment, development of specifications before purchase, and the submission of requisitions for procurement. Repairs of vehicles involved in traffic accidents, theft, vandalism and other mishaps are coordinated through this division.

Fleet Management Division, provides unleaded and diesel fuel to County owned/leased vehicles and to various local and state governmental agencies including seven municipalities. An automated fuel system is installed at all locations to provide controls over the fuel inventory. A fuel key, issued to each vehicle, must be inserted in the terminal at the pump to activate the fuel dispensing system.

Every vehicle that is authorized to obtain fuel from Polk County fueling sites is assigned a fuel key to activate the automated fueling computer. To replace a lost, stolen, or damaged fuel key, contact Fleet Management. A $5.00 fee will be charged for a lost or damaged key. Keys that fail to work but are not visibly damaged are replaced at no charge.
