This division provides personnel support for the county work force, including: compensation and benefits; volunteer services; employment services (recruitment, placement, wage/classification, and related matters); and employee relations.
Compensation and Benefits
This section is responsible for payroll verification/processing, including new hires, promotions, and verification for credit and employment history along with explaining and implementing the county's policies and procedures as they relate to compensation.
Compensation and Benefits oversees all benefits except Insurance and Flex, which are administered by Risk Management. The benefits administered by Personnel include those such as the Florida Retirement System, Fitness deductions, Deferred Compensation, Savings Bonds, Child Support deductions, IRS Liens, Student Loan deductions, Union Dues, Credit Union deductions, United Way deductions, and Legal Service deductions.

Volunteer Services
Volunteer Services coordinates the recruitment and utilization of non-paid staff (interns, career shadowing, weekly or special event volunteers, academic community service, Junior Volunteers, etc.) within the Board of County Commissioners' agencies and programs. Volunteers assist these programs in being able to extend additional services, beyond where budgets leave off.
