Polk County Volunteer Services is a program of the Board of County Commissioners and is open for individuals ages 16 - adult to apply. Our "Junior Volunteer" program will accept students ages 14 - 15 for limited assignments at the Rohr Home (nursing home).

  4. Be sure to indicate, on your application, the specific assignments you wish to register to volunteer for.
  5. Special Events (listings occurring on a specific date) do NOT require an application - just contact us via phone or email and let us know which event you wish to register for.

Need a ride?

The City of Lakeland’s "Citrus Connection" and Polk County’s Inter-City Transit Services now provide low cost transportation from many area towns to and from Bartow. Lakeland residents contact Citrus Connection at (863) 688-7433. For transportation from any other Polk County location, contact Polk County’s Inter-City Transit Services at (863) 534-5500. Inter-City Transit begins in Fort Meade, Haines City, Frostproof and connects in Winter Haven.
