| Polk County Volunteer Services is a program of the Board
of County Commissioners and is open for individuals ages 16
- adult to apply. Our "Junior Volunteer" program
will accept students ages 14 - 15 for limited assignments
at the Rohr Home (nursing home).

Volunteer Services offers a wide variety of volunteer opportunities. Individuals ages 14 - adults are encouraged to participate.

Volunteers between the ages of 14-15, should download our Jr.

- Be sure to indicate, on your application, the specific assignments
you wish to register to
volunteer for.
- Special Events (listings occurring on a specific date) do
NOT require an application - just contact
us via phone or email and let us know which event you wish
to register for.
Need a ride?
The City of Lakeland’s "Citrus Connection" and
Polk County’s Inter-City Transit Services now provide low
cost transportation from many area towns to and from Bartow. Lakeland
residents contact Citrus Connection at (863) 688-7433. For transportation
from any other Polk County location, contact Polk County’s
Inter-City Transit Services at (863) 534-5500. Inter-City Transit
begins in Fort Meade, Haines City, Frostproof and connects in
Winter Haven.
