Looking to get rid of your old computers, printers, monitors, TVs, paints, fertilizers, burned out florescent bulbs? Well, look no further. Drop off your unwanted household electronics and chemicals at the Mobile Collection Event on Saturday February 2, 2008 from 9am to 1pm. The event will be located at:

WELCOME

Welcome to the Polk County Solid Waste Division. The Solid Waste Division is the agency responsible for providing an integrated solid waste management and recycling system for the unincorporated areas of Polk County, Florida. The Solid Waste Divisions' award-winning system provides environmentally sound and cost effective facilities and programs to effectively manage Polk County's waste.
 
WE DO IT TODAY FOR TOMMORROW
Polk County Solid Waste provides scheduled residential waste collection for citizens living in the unincorporated areas of the county (residents not living within city limits). All households receive two garbage and one yard waste collection each week. One weekly recycling pick-up is conducted in the more densely populated areas of the county. All residents residing in the unincorporated areas are assessed for this service. The county contracts with a private company for waste collection services.
