First Time Volunteer Festival Seeks Prticipants

Bartow, Fla. (July 1, 2013) – Local organizations and community members are invited to participate in Servapalooza Polk, a free interactive volunteer festival presented by Volunteer Polk.


Servapalooza is Saturday, Sept. 7 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sun ‘n Fun fairgrounds, 4175 Medulla Road in Lakeland. 


Servapalooza features a volunteer expo where organizations can showcase their community service projects and participants learn about local volunteer opportunities. 


Volunteer Polk is seeking applications for the event from exhibitors as well as organizations that have service projects or donation drives that can be completed on-site.  


Individuals and corporate teams of volunteers interested in participating should contact Volunteer Polk at 863-534-5580, or register online at 

Servapalooza is part of the National Day of Service and Remembrance campaign.  

“We invite all of Polk County to join us as we remember 9/11 by serving, supporting and celebrating our community at Servapalooza,” said Volunteer Polk Manager Janet Bartuska.
