• Two of Polk County's RSVP Volunteers (RSVP is a senior volunteer program sponsored by a federal grant) have been submitted by Michelle Shiver - RSVP Coordinator, for a national contest sponsored by our grant funder, the Corporation for National Community Service, as nominees for a "National Service Impact Award"
• Public voting is now open. Please take a quick minute and vote for these two outstanding Polk Residents and volunteers!

• The event is located at Joker Marchant Stadium and will begin at 4pm.
• The event is for Veterans & their Guests and will provide information on VA Benefits, Health Care, Job help, Military displays, and much more!

• This event will be on Friday, May 25th from 9am-3pm,at Polk State College in Lakeland - 3425 Winter Lake Road, Lakeland, LTB 1100

• June 23, 2012 - 8th Annual Graduation Celebration for Healthy Families Participants - Eloise Resource Center from 10am-1pm (Healthy Families' Event)  

• July 28, 2012 - Lakeland's Warrior's Walk 8-10am at the First Presbyterian Church on Lake Hollingsworth-175 Lake Hollingsworth Drive, Lakeland
• Come out and join us as we walk a 2.7 mile trail around Lake Hollingsworth in honor of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice during Operations Iraqi/Enduring Freedom
• This is a free family event - wear your red, white and blue and come show your support!
