TRAFFIC SIGNAL TECH - I *$13.53 per hour (Pay Grade 12/2386)
Graduate of an accredited high school or possess an acceptable equivalency diploma and have a minimum of one (1) years experience in traffic signal operations including completion of a certified training program in electronics. Must obtain a Level I Traffic Signal Technician (electronics) Certificate as issued by the IMSA- International Municipal Signal Association within one (1) year of employment. Must possess a valid driver=s license and be able to secure a valid Florida driver=s license at the time of employment. Must possess or obtain a valid Class AB@ Commercial Driver=s License within one (1) month of employment. A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications with the exception of the required licensure.
TRAFFIC SIGNAL TECH - II *$14.82 per hour (Pay Grade 14/2388)
Graduate of an accredited high school or possess an acceptable equivalency diploma and have a minimum of two (2) years experience in traffic signal operations including completion of a certified training program in electronics. Must obtain a Level II Traffic Signal Technician (electronics) Certificate as issued by the IMSA- International Municipal Signal Association within six (6) months of employment. Must possess a valid driver=s license and be able to secure a valid Florida driver=s license at the time of employment. Must possess or obtain a valid Class AB@ Commercial Driver=s License within one (1) month of employment. A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications with the exception of the required licensure.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: Must perform after hour call out in emergency and on rotational basis. Must have a home telephone at the time of employment as employee is subject to call for emergencies.
JOB LOCATION: Traffic Engineering & Operations
WORK SCHEDULE: 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Monday thru Thursday
HIRING RATE: (*5-10% less for Trainee)
