Regional Drainage monitors, protects and strives to manage Polk County's natural resources for the benefit of our citizens and the environment.
The Regional Drainage Section consists of two programs:
- Drainage Operations Program
To restore, maintain and manage the County's off-road drainage system in accordance with the County's Drainage Policy for the health, safety and welfare of the Polk County citizens. The off-road drainage system generally consists of the drainage facilities outside road right-of-way (ROW) where the County has an easement of ownership.
- Regional Drainage (Community Investment Program)
Develop, manage and implement the Community Investment Program that identifies and provides permanent, corrective solutions to regional and off-road drainage issues that impact Polk County. Manage the restoration and continued maintenance of drainage systems.
