Flu Shots
Seasonal Flu Shots will not be provided through the county’s Wellness Center this year. However, all Aetna health plan participants may get a flu shot from an in-network or out-of-network provider AT NO COST. Refer to the Flu Shot flyer for web links that list clinics in your area that will accept your Aetna ID card and no co-pay, deductible, or coinsurance will apply. Out-of-network services will need to be paid upfront and you can file a claim for reimbursement.
Open Enrollment: Oct. 20th - Nov. 20th, 2009

What Do I Need to Know About Open Enrollment?
- Medicare eligible retirees and dependents do not need to take any action unless they want to change from one plan to another for a January 1, 2010 effective date. Enrollment in the Humana Medicare Advantage and Aetna Medicare Indemnity plans will rollover. There are no benefit changes; however, rates have increased for both plans.
- Non-Medicare eligible retirees and dependents will need to choose between the two Medical plan options, Aetna Open Access Select and Aetna Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) for a January 1, 2010 effective date. If an enrollment form is not submitted, coverage will default to the HRA.
- Vision plan enrollment will not rollover for existing participants. An enrollment form must be submitted to choose one of the new Davis Vision plan options offered.
- MetLife dental plan enrollment will rollover. There are no benefit changes; however, rates have increased for both plans.
- Rates for all plans are provided through this website; including Medical plan rates based on the 3% per year of service (0 – 75%) employer contribution.
What has changed?
- Benefit plan design changes and premium increases for the existing Aetna Open Access Select (co-pay) plan will be effective January 1, 2010.
- A NEW Aetna medical plan option (Health Reimbursement Account) has been added. (Existing Choice POS II has been eliminated effective January 1, 2010.)
- New Davis Vision plan with two plan design options will replace the current Spectera plan effective January 1, 2010.
- Dental plan options remain the same. Premiums will increase 7% effective January 1, 2010.
- Four tier premium structure replaces the current three tiers for Medical, Dental and Vision plans for active and retired plan members effective January 1, 2010.
