All public records requests must be made by contacting the Polk County BoCC Records Management Office. Florida law permits individuals requesting public records to remain anonymous.

Records Management is a section of the Information Technology Division which is only resposible for providing public records for the departments and divisions within the Polk County Board of County Commissioners which are listed on the Organization Chart. Polk County's five constitutional officers, the Clerk of Court, Property Appraiser, Sheriff, Supervisor of Elections, and Tax Collector, are responsible for providing their organizations' public records.
