The Winter Haven Area Transit (W.H.A.T.) system is a joint effort between the Board of County Commissioners and the City of Winter Haven. The W.H.A.T. is a fixed bus route service. Some of the routes are operated by the Citrus Connection Offsite Website or Webpages Icon under contract to the Board of County Commissioners.

All buses provide bike racks and are handicap accessible.

El sistema de servicio de Transito del Área de Winter Haven es un esfuerzo cooperativo entre la Junta de Comisionados del Condado de Polk y la Ciudad de Winter Haven. Provee servicio público de autobuses en rutas fijas. Algunas rutas son operadas bajo un contrato por  Citrus Connection  Offsite Website or Webpages Icon. Todas las rutas son accesibles para personas incapacitadas y para aquellos que usan bicicletas.

Polk County Transit Services is to coordinate and ensure safe, timely, and cost effective door-to-door and fixed-route transit services while extending dignity and respect to those we serve.

* These fares are available to senior citizens and disabled individuals (including those who have illness, injury or other temporary or permanent incapacity or disability). Anyone who presents a MedicareCard is also eligible for discount fares during these times. Eligibility for our reduced fares is on the honor system.
