Community Development Citizens' Advisory Committee

The Community Development Citizens' Advisory Committee was established to evaluate and review for funding programs administered by the Housing & Neighborhood Development Division through U.S. HUD's Community Development Block Grant Program.

The Community Development Citizens' Advisory Committee meets once, every other month.

Qualifications for Board Members / How to Apply

The Community Development Citizens' Advisory Committee appoints up to 15 members for staggered three-year terms.

Six members represent:

  • Low and moderate income
  • Minority groups
  • Persons directly affected by the program
  • Elderly
  • Disabled
  • Small business entrepreneurs

Members of the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee include:

  • Affordable housing developers
  • Affordable housing advocates
  • Public housing representatives and residents
  • Homeless shelter providers

Four social service providers of:

  • Child care
  • Mental health services
  • Education
  • Employment training
