Conservation Land Acquisition Selection Advisory Committee

The Conservation Land Acquisition Selection Advisory Committee assists the Polk County Board of County Commissioners in the design and orderly implementation of a local environmental land acquisition program.

The Conservation Land Acquisition Selection Advisory Committee typically meets quarterly, on an as-needed basis, at 7 p.m. in the County Commission boardroom.

Qualifications for Board Members / How to Apply

The Conservation Land Acquisition Selection Advisory Committee is made up of 12 members and four alternates who serve for an indefinite term. These members are appointed by the board representing the business community, local environmental groups, agricultural community, phosphate industry, and land use, as well as a member of the County Commission.
