Genealogy Speaker Series: Researching an Ancestors’ Home

When: May 31, 2025

Time: 10 to 11 a.m.

Location: Online

Have you ever wanted to learn more about the ancestral homelands of your family?

Join the Polk County History Center for this month’s Genealogy Speaker Series, featuring LaDonna Garner, Historic Preservationist and Professional Genealogist, for a discussion on the resources and methods for researching communities associated with your family tree. Ancestral homelands can include a house, a village, a region or even a country. There are tools available to help you discover the integral role they play in your family history.

This is a virtual program presented by the Polk County History Center and Genealogical Library. The presenter will appear virtually via Zoom. For Zoom details, contact the Polk County History Center at (863) 534-4386 or ShannonGraham@polk-county.net.
