Whether it's helping to recover from a natural disaster, or to pair private employers with volunteer opportunities in the community, Volunteer Polk can coordinate your needs through its programs.
Disaster Volunteers and Donations Coordination
Volunteers can play a key role in the recovery from a natural disaster. Volunteer Polk, at
the direction of Polk County Emergency Management, becomes the clearing house for volunteers in times of
disaster. This department registers all volunteers and conducts background check to make sure the volunteers have
all the training, certifications and credentials they need to do their job. For more information on becoming a
disaster volunteer, click here.
Business & Corporate Citizenship
Volunteer Polk can connect businesses that want to make a difference in the
community through employee volunteering and social responsibility projects. This department also accepts donations
of surplus goods from businesses.
Whether it's unwanted product samples, surplus
furniture, or unwanted office supplies and equipment, Volunteer Polk can pair these items with other agencies who
serve those in need. For more information on how to donate equipment or supplies, click here.
Court-Ordered Service Opportunities
