Emergency Utility Repair Closes US 27 Travel Lane North of I-4 Interchange

Bartow, Fla. (July 1, 2020) — Emergency repairs by Polk County Utilities to restore a leaking water main damaged by a contractor have closed the northbound outside travel lane of US 27 North about a half-mile north of the I-4 interchange. Local water services are currently out of service. Services are expected to resume and the travel lane reopened sometime after midnight.  Duke Energy and Polk County Roads and Drainage are assisting as needed to expedite repairs. Increased congestion and travel delays are expected. Motorists are advised to drive with caution and be alert to workers and equipment.
