PCFR to Host Winston Creek Fire Station Grand Opening and Official Swearing-in for New Fire Chief

Bartow, Fla. (Jan. 9, 2023) — The Winston Creek Fire Station grand opening ceremony and the official swearing-in for the new Polk County Fire Rescue Chief will take place on Thursday, Jan. 12 at 9 a.m.

Photographers and reporters are welcome to attend the ceremony to tour the fire station and meet the new chief, Hezedean A. Smith, D.M. The ceremony will be held at 1140 N. Galloway Road in Lakeland. If you are unable to attend, PGTV is available to provide video footage and still photos through a Dropbox link later that day.
