Bartow, Fla. (May 31, 2024) — New turn lane construction will close 80 Foot Road at State Road 60 in Bartow for two weeks starting Monday, June 3. Polk County is adding a northbound right-turn lane on 80 Foot Road for dedicated turns onto eastbound SR 60. The 80 Foot Road approach to the intersection will be resurfaced and restriped to complete the installation. Traffic along 80 Foot Road will be detoured along Connersville Road or Wells Road and South Hankin Road to bypass work zone. Minor travel delays are expected, especially during weekday peak-hour traffic. Commuters are advised to drive carefully and add time to trips through this area.
