Bartow, Fla. (Oct. 31, 2025) – CSX Transportation (CSXT) will close the Old Dixie Highway rail crossing east of Lake Lowrey Road in Lake Alfred at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11.
All lanes of travel across the tracks will be closed until repairs are completed. Residents are asked to plan alternative routes as needed.
The crossing is anticipated to reopen by 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 14.
