Bartow, Fla. (May 9, 2025) – May 14 is the last day for pick-up of any hurricane-related debris for unincorporated Polk County residents.

County residents in unincorporated areas must call the Polk County Roads and Drainage Division at (863) 535-2200 prior to May 14 and give their address to the operator to be added to the list for the final hurricane-related debris pick-up.

“Residents are urged to call before May 14. After that date, Polk County will no longer be picking up any hurricane-related construction or vegetative debris,” said Jay Jarvis, Polk County’s director of Roads and Drainage. “Also, they will not be picking up any new, green, leafy vegetative debris.”
