Bartow, Fla. (Dec. 23, 2024) –Loyce E. Harpe Park, which has been closed to the public since Hurricane Milton, will reopen with limited facilities and operational hours on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. beginning on Saturday, Jan. 4.
Facilities to reopen include the dog park, skate park, mountain bike trails, fishing areas and athletic fields. With trucks and traffic moving in and out of the park frequently, the park will remain closed on weekdays for the safety of residents as it continues to be used as a post-storm debris management site.
