Polk’s Temporary Waste Collection Plan Ends
Published on Jul 1, 2022
Bartow, Fla. (July 1, 2022) —Polk County’s emergency plan for waste collection has ended.
Recycling collection will resume today, Friday, July 1, on a weekly basis for all Polk County Waste & Recycling customers. Items for disposal should be placed at the curb by 6 a.m.
Two bulk items will be collected per service, and items must be placed within three feet of the curb or edge of the street and at least three feet from fixed objects or vehicles. Bulk items will be collected within three business days of being reported or observed; however, if bulk items are placed at the curb in between services, you will need to schedule a pick up by calling the Waste & Recycling Customer Care team (863) 284-4319 or submitting an online request.
Yard waste collection service remains the same and should be placed at the curb on your regularly scheduled garbage day.
