Bartow, Fla. (July 1, 2025) – The Polk County Board of County Commissioners approved an increase to solid waste disposal fees at the North Central Landfill that will take effect Oct.1, 2025.
The disposal fees will increase to $46 per ton for both residential solid waste and construction and demolition debris. The fee for yard waste will rise to $36.50 per ton.
In addition, the resolution includes an annual fee increase of 5% for the next five years.
“The Polk County Solid Waste Division is pleased to have the support of the Board of County Commissioners,” said Polk County Solid Waste Director Dale Henderson. “The revised fees are intended to support the continued development and sustainable operation of the North Central Landfill.”
