Polk County (Feb. 26, 2024) – The Polk County Roads & Drainage Division is hosting a previously postponed public information meeting on Tuesday night, February 27, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Winston Academy of Engineering auditorium at 3415 Swindell Road in Lakeland. The county is seeking input from property owners and residents on proposed roadway upgrades to lessen crashes, while improving traffic flow along the intersecting North Galloway Road and Swindell Road corridors.
After introductory remarks and a brief project overview, participants can view related exhibits and ask questions of county staff and consulting engineers. Public feedback is strongly encouraged, and comment forms will be provided. A two-week comment period ends March 12, 2024.
