Polk County seeks resident to Serve on Industrial Development Authority Board

Bartow, Fla. (Aug. 28, 2024) — Polk County commissioners are looking for a volunteer who would like to serve on the county’s Industrial Development Authority (IDA) advisory board.

The nine-member Authority works to ensure comprehensive planning and development of Polk County’s industry, commerce and business. The IDA generally meets on an as-needed basis at the County Administration Building in Bartow.

Terms for members of the IDA are for three years, with members eligible to be re-appointed. Members appointed by a commissioner must be approved by the Board prior to serving.
