Bartow, Fla. (June 24, 2025) — Polk County Utilities contractors are working to repair a potable water line break at the intersection of Ronald Reagan Parkway/County Road 54 and Heritage Pass in Davenport. A portion of Ronald Reagan Parkway is currently consolidated to one lane to accommodate for the repair.
The 12-inch water main was damaged by an unaffiliated third-party contractor. Polk County Utilities staff were able to isolate the line break quickly and prevent any disruption of water service to customers.
The issue is expected to be resolved later this evening. Updates will be provided as progress on the repair continues.
Update (June 25, 2025) — Repairs to the potable water main on Ronald Reagan Parkway east of Heritage Pass are complete. There is currently no lane closure at this site. One lane of Ronald Reagan Parkway will be closed temporarily on the morning of Thursday, June 26, while concrete curbing restoration is completed.
Update (June 27, 2025) — Repairs to the potable water main are complete. All lanes of Ronald Reagan Parkway have reopened.
