Bartow, Fla. (Nov. 20, 2025) — Polk County Utilities crews continue to work on repairs to a sewer main break that occurred on Champions Gate Boulevard last night. To accommodate for excavation and repairs, the northbound lane of Champions Gate Boulevard has been closed from Captiva Drive to Benoi Drive. Residents driving through this area should expect delays.
Customers will not experience a water service interruption. Updates will be provided as progress on the work continues.
Update (Nov. 24, 2025) — Utilities crews have repaired the sewer main break on Champions Gate Boulevard and the lane closure has been reopened. The northbound lane of Champions Gate Boulevard may be closed intermittently between Monday, Nov. 24, and Tuesday, Nov. 25, to allow for restoration of the area.
