Available Rooms for Rent:
This courtroom is multi-functional, whether hosting a wedding reception, dance, or conference. This room is suitable for large occasions.
The conference room with adjoining break room is located on the third floor. This room is most suitable for mediations, temporary attorney space during trials and small business meetings.
Booking an Event
Rooms may be rented in the History Center Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. To book an event at the History Center, fill out a Facility Use Agreement and submit the form along with a $200 security deposit to the office. You may pick up Facility Use Agreement forms at the History Center or request we mail or email one to you by calling (863) 534-4386.
Event insurance is required for all rentals at the History Center.
Special event rentals at the Polk County History Center are available in specific four-hour increments at $125 per hour, or full day, according to the following schedule:
- 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- 1 to 5 p.m.
- 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. – Full Day
All special occasions such as weddings, wedding receptions, reunions, anniversary celebrations, birthday parties, etc., require a full day rental at $1,500 per day and require the services of an event planner who has completed all training provided by the History Center.
Rental Cancellation Policies:
Although cancellations are sometimes necessary, the following guidelines apply to all cancellations:
- Cancellations 10 days prior to the scheduled event date will result in an 80 percent refund.
- Cancellations less than 10 days prior to the scheduled event date will result in no refund.
