City of Auburndale
Auburndale is home to 10 community parks, providing open spaces to play for a population of less than 20,000 people.
City of Bartow
Serving as the Polk County seat, Bartow features many historic homes built in the late 19th and 20th centuries.
City of Davenport
With just 26 registered voters in attendance, Davenport became an incorporated town at a town meeting on March 11, 1915.
City of Eagle Lake
Eagle Lake was settled in 1880 and incorporated in 1921. The city motto is “Growing with People in Mind.”
City of Fort Meade
Fort Meade is the oldest city in Polk County. It dates back to 1849 when it was established along a new military road from Tampa to Fort Pierce.
City of Frostproof
Frostproof boasts plenty of activities for sportsmen, including fishing, golf and nature trails.
City of Haines City
Haines City still provides great views of citrus groves. In fact, there are opportunities to pick your own oranges in the city.
City of Lake Alfred
Lake Alfred features friendly neighborhoods, scenic lakes, recreation programs, superior service, many parks, affordable housing and landscaped boulevards.
City of Lake Wales
Lake Wales was founded in 1911 by the Lake Wales Land Company, a group of businessmen who purchased 5,000 acres in the hilly wilderness around Lake Wailes.
City of Lakeland
Lakeland, the largest city in Polk County, is home to the largest one-site collection of Frank Lloyd Wright architecture in the world at Florida Southern College, Circle B Bar Reserve, Detroit Tigers Spring Training and Safari Wilderness.
City of Mulberry
Originally founded as a phosphate mining boom town, Mulberry is now home to Bone Valley ATV Park and is near Streamsong Resort, a 16,000-acre golf resort recognized by Golf Digest for the #1 “Best Public Golf Courses in Florida” in 2015.
City of Polk City
Polk City is the only community completely contained within the Green Swamp, which supports almost 40 percent of Florida’s native vertebrate wildlife (except salt-water fish, of course).
City of Winter Haven
Winter Haven is home to LEGOLAND® Florida Resort, Peppa Pig Theme Park Florida and more. Get on Winter Haven’s Chain of Lakes or experience the city’s award-winning community theatre and lakeside restaurants.
Town of Dundee
The town of Dundee sits along the rolling hills of the Lake Wales Ridge and was built on the wealth of Florida’s citrus industry. Just south of Haines City, Dundee is home to a candy factory so special it was featured on Food Network.
Town of Hillcrest Heights
A quaint, neighborly town, Hillcrest Heights is one of the smallest communities in Polk County.
Town of Lake Hamilton
Originally a farming community, Lake Hamilton is now known for its beautiful scenery and recreational activities, including fishing and boating.
Village of Highland Park
Set amongst Central Florida’s many lakes, Highland Park offers a laidback lifestyle. Ironically, the city itself is positioned along Lake Easy.
