Bartow, Fla. (Nov. 25, 2025) – A portion of West Highlands Street closed at 9 a.m. on Nov. 24 for City of Lakeland utility pipe replacements/utility replacement work.
A section of the east and west bound lanes on West Highlands Street in front of the City of Lakeland’s Southwest Complex entrance (1444 W. Highlands St., Lakeland, FL) between Kings Manor Trail Court and Beech Avenue will be closed during construction. The roadway west of the closure between Southern Avenue and Kings Manor Trail and east of the closure between Beech Avenue will be closed to thru traffic.
The roadway is expected to reopen during the week of Dec. 15.
Residents are asked to plan alternative routes as needed.
