Bartow, Fla. (Feb. 15, 2024) — The Polk County Housing & Neighborhood Development (HND) Office is requesting applications for FY 2024-25 for Public Services and Homeless Services using Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds. A mandatory technical assistance workshop will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at 2 p.m. to review and discuss the application process. The workshop will be held in Room 413 of the County Administration Building, 330 W. Church Street, Bartow.
Polk County HND is seeking qualified organizations to administer public/homeless services programs that meet the following priority community needs: serves disabled persons, prevents child abuse or neglect, serves homeless persons, assists victims of domestic violence, provides youth services, provides senior services, provides health services or provides employment and skills training opportunities to low- and moderate-income persons and households in FY 2024-25.
Polk County anticipates awarding an estimated $600,000 from the Community Development Block Grant and up to $320,000 from the Emergency Solutions Grant, depending on funding availability. Interested nonprofit organizations are invited to apply to implement public/homeless services programs using these funds.
This application will be submitted electronically utilizing Neighborly Software. The Neighborly portal will open on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at 8 a.m. To be added as a vendor or for additional information, email HNDRequests@polk-county.net. Completed proposals must be submitted into Neighborly Portal online no later 4:59 P.M., Thursday, March 21, 2024.
