Polk County Seeks Public Input on Roadway Improvement Options for North Galloway Road and Swindell Road

Polk County (Jan. 8, 2024) – The Polk County Roads & Drainage Division is hosting a public information meeting Tuesday night Jan. 9, 2024, in the auditorium of the Winston Academy of Engineering located at 3415 Swindell Road, in Lakeland from 6 to 8 p.m. The county is seeking input from property owners and residents on proposed roadway upgrades to lessen crashes, while improving traffic flow along the intersecting North Galloway Road and Swindell Road corridors.

After introductory remarks and a brief project overview, participants can view related exhibits and ask questions of county staff and consulting engineers. Public feedback is strongly encouraged, and comment forms will be provided. A two-week comment period ends Jan. 23, 2024.
