Jamming Out for the Holidays Canning Class

Do you need a gift, or just want to learn about the canning process? Join us at the UF/IFAS Extension Office to learn how to make your own jam!

Join Family and Consumer Sciences Agent Andrea Nikolai for this hands-on canning workshop where you will learn how to water bath can.

You can take the skills you learn to can many other foods, such as tomatoes, pickles, salsas, and relishes!

We will be making Chocolate Cherry Jam and Carrot Cake Jam. You will be able to take your food home, so please bring a small box or towel with you as the jars will still be hot.

Choose between two class times:

  • 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
  • 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Ages 8 and older. Each child must have an adult that is responsible for them present at the class. Materials are provided in class. Space is limited to 12 people.

Cost per ticket is $18. Tickets are non-refundable after Wednesday, December 13. Eventbrite fees are nonrefundable.
