Purpose
To make recommendations to the Board regarding marketing of Polk County as a destination and the allocation of Tourism Tax dollars.
Appointments
Nine members appointed by the Board, all of whom must be a resident of Polk County. Chairperson is to be a commissioner. Council also includes two elected municipal officials, three owner/operators of motels, hotels or other tourist accommodations located in Polk County, three people involved in the tourism industry who are not owner/operators of motels, hotels or other tourist accommodations.
